Unpractical handbags

As someone who wears fairly plain clothes most of the time, I like for my accessories to add character to my look.

I remember going for a coffee with someone last year. It was a late autumn morning and I was dressed casually with my favourite boots on my feet and a small bag on my shoulder.

It was a black faux leather bucket bag with a detachable long strap and rose-gold hardware. I’d bought it on sale earlier that year and I adored it. But I remember the person I was with commented on how small the bag was and how it would hardly be able to fit anything inside.

This person had totally missed the point.

Of course, the bag wasn’t practical, it wasn’t supposed to be.

Instead it was interesting and sometimes (in the case of things like fashion and art) that’s what matters the most.
